We are fortunate to have Castell Nonni on our smallholding. It is an unexcavated motte dating from around 1115 AD, and a Welsh National monument protected by CADW.
There is no public right of way to it, but if you are interested in having a look we are very happy to show it off. Wellies are required most of the time because sheep graze the field.
In the spring the castle has a fine show of bluebells and in summer provides a grand place to sit and ponder. Autumn has the colours from oak and silver birch and in winter the holly berries show through the snow and rain - this is Wales.
