Adjacent to the building is a gravelled courtyard with a hot tub and a secluded garden for guest use.

The Courtyard

This is an afternoon sun trap with scented summer flowers.

The Hot Tub

The 7 seat hot tub is the perfect place to unwind and chat or just watch the stars at night.

Castell Nonni

I am fortunate to have Castell Nonni on my smallholding. It is an unexcavated 12 Century motte (a Welsh National monument protected by CADW).

There is no public right of way to it, but if you are interested in having a look we are very happy to show it off. Wellies are required most of the time because sheep graze the field. (I probably have your size in the cupboard).

In the spring the castle has a fine show of bluebells and in summer provides a grand place to sit and ponder. Autumn has the colours from oak and silver birch and in winter the holly berries show through the snow and rain - this is Wales.

Castell Nonni at Bluebell Time

You are welcome to explore the eighteen acres of fields and woodland. You may also be accompanied by some of the cats!

The Woods

The woods, planted in 2001; in early spring where an ambush may await. These are visiting Llanwenog sheep, with a couple of Suffolks, who stayed for a snack.
